Our first Annual SOMA Summit featured keynote talks from Dr. Ed Callahan, PhD, Associate Dean for Academic Personnel at the School of Medicine and Dr. Kellie Butler, PhD, the Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies. Ideablitz presentations were done by Jamie Kreuger, Alex Barnett, PhD, Ayanna Wade, Linda Su-Feher, Jon Wong and SOMA Co-founder, Millie Copara. These student and postdoc presentations touched on a range of topics, from issues facing mothers in science, to the need for culturally aware and intentional mentorship in academia.
