Summer 2021

While the Summer (and our reading group) have come to an end, we HIGHLY recommend checking out this amazing book The Disordered Cosmos: A Journey into Dark Matter, Spacetime, and Dreams Deferred by Chanda Prescod-Weinstein. Dr. Prescod-Weinstein details her her love of physics and the stars, the awe it inspires, and the ways that the current organization of STEM and academia are not only hurting marginalized people, but science itself as well as our future.  Please support the author and purchase this book to read at your leisure (or contact Nicole Claiborne for a loaner) and feel free to peruse our discussion questions as a starting point for understanding inequities in STEM and, more importantly, how we can work together to improve it for the benefit of science, society, and human justice.
